Ballykerogue Cemetery is situated approximately five kilometres from the spectacular Dunbrody Abbey in County Wexford. In the cemetery stands the remains of a small medieval church in, its construction date is unknown, however it is recorded in a Visitation by Thomas Ram, the Protestant bishop of Ferns in 1615. At that time Thomas Ffleming was the curate but both the church and chancel were in need of repair. What remains at Ballykerogue is the east gable which is leaning substantially (now kept in place with metal supports) and a large proportion of the north and south walls. Ballykerogue church was at one time the parish church of Ballybrazil. Near its western end stands a granite stone basin, sometimes referred to as a baptismal font and other sources refer to it as a bullaun stone. The visible headstones date from 1770 until the early 2000s.
