Killonaghan Church is a striking 11th century church situated in the west of the Burren, Co. Clare. The church and cemetery situated beside are also known as Fanore Cemetery and Craggagh Church/Cemetery. The parish name of Cill Onchan (Church of Onchu) refers to the patron Saint Onchu, who according to TJ Westropp was the son of Blathmac who is buried with Fininian in Clonmacnoise. The church is a quite ruinous east-west construction, the east gable wall being the most well-preserved with a tall round-headed window set in a beautiful inwardly splayed embrasure. The graveyard has some attractive gravestones, the earliest legible inscriptions dating to the 1890s.
