The Druid’s Judgement Seat, Dublin, Ireland

The Druid’s Judgement Seat is a 18th century Folly hidden away in the corner of a housing estate in Killiney. Originally it appears three pre-historic tombs surrounded by a stone circle were situated on the site but sometime during the 1700s were demolished to make the ‘Druid’s Judgement Seat’, it has been named as such since the 18th century when a lot of Irish pre-historic sites were thought to be linked to the Danes and Druids. Although only a relatively modern antiquity this folly is certainly worth a visit.
