Ardristan is home to two standing stones standing fifty metres apart separated by a road. The larger of the stones is 2.8 metres in height and has six vertical grooves starting at the top and working their way down. The smaller stone stands 150 metres to the northwest, sadly I had no knowledge of this on the day I visited Ardristan!

Wonderful photos, and I love the shape of this stone – almost like a massive seedpod that is about to burst!
Nice find Ed, Its great to see it hasnt been taken down like so many others.
